About Mrs. White
Howdy and welcome! I am Mrs. White and I love giraffes. I am married and have 2 children, ages 8 and 6. I also have a dog and fish. I was born in El Paso and attended Lamar, Vilas, and Mesita Elementary and then Wiggs Middle School. I then attended and graduated from El Paso High School, Go Tigers! I am the Tiger Den Leader for the Cub Scouts in Pack 72. Scouting allows me to combine 2 of my passions, teaching and spending time with my family.
I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Aggie class of 2001, WHOOP! While enrolled at Texas A&M I had the opportunity to study at Santa Chiara in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy and I also studied at the Universidad de Guadalajara-CEPE in Guadalajara, Mexico.
I began my teaching career in Mansfield ISD in 2002 where I taught students in a collaborative and bilingual Pre-Kindergarten until 2007. I returned to El Paso in 2007 and continued teaching students in a collaborative & bilingual Pre-Kindergarten class at Cielo Vista Elementary School until 2012. I was very honored to be selected as Cielo Vista's Teacher of the Year in 2012.
This is my 5th year teaching children in Kindergarten at Dr. Green Elementary School. I feel very fortunate to work with such an amazing group of educators and staff and with the wonderful students that make up our Dr. Green Hawk family. I was again honored to be selected as Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year.
The students in my homeroom class are the KF giraffes. Ms. Barraza (KC Owls) and I teach dual language kindergarten. Our students attend my class for all subjects in English and her class for all subjects in Spanish. I truly enjoy working with children and feel that....
